Ensuring our tools are usable by everyone, regardless of ability or background.
Security is a collective responsibility, and tools that are difficult to use are tools that get ignored. At AncileBase, we are committed to making advanced infrastructure security accessible to everyone—from solo developers to large, diverse engineering teams.
We aim to comply with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA standards across all our digital interfaces, including our dashboard and documentation.
Our interfaces are designed with high contrast ratios and clear typography. We avoid relying solely on color to convey information (such as threat levels), using icons and descriptive text to ensure clarity for users with color blindness.
The AncileBase dashboard is fully navigable via keyboard. we use semantic HTML and ARIA labels to ensure that screen reader users can efficiently monitor threat feeds and manage security policies.
Accessibility also means cognitive accessibility. Infrastructure security is complex, but the tools shouldn't be.
Accessibility is an ongoing journey. We regularly test our products with automated tools and real users to identify and fix accessibility barriers.
"Democratizing security means making it understandable and usable for the entire engineering organization."
